Christine Anzell and Jack Levenson have been business partners for 29 years. They met as Regional Managers at Montgomery Ward and when that company closed, they formed a partnership and ran a fine jewelry retail sales training company for eight years, then bought a jewelry store in 2001 and named it The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest.

During the next 20 years, they multiplied their first-year sales by 15 and doubled the size of their location mid-way through; they went from one to 15 employees during that time.

In 2021, looking at a lease renewal and “feeling the years”, they made the difficult decision to hold a massive GOB event, close their store and downsize to a smaller location, eliminating the retail segment of the business and reopening as The Jewelry Box Estate Buyers in early 2022, dealing only in OTC and repair.
